Morgan Freeman, Frank Grillo to star in action film Panama

Hollywood actors Morgan Freeman and Frank Grillo will be starring together in an upcoming action film Panama.

The film is being directed by Daniel Adams and is said to be an inspiration from true events, set in 1989 Panama.

Frank Grillo will portray a rugged, decorated former Marine who is sent undercover by his former commander, played by Morgan Freeman, to execute a high-value deal with untrustworthy adversaries.

While navigating through the chaos of the local civil war, he must fight assassins, court femmes fatales and negotiate with the enemy in order to complete his mission.

The script for the action film is written by Adams and William R Barber. As being reported the principal photography for the film will begin in November.

Frank Anthony Grillo is an American actor known for his roles in films such as Warrior, The Grey, End of Watch, and Zero Dark Thirty. He had his first leading role in the action-horror film The Purge: Anarchy, portraying Sergeant Leo Barnes, a role he reprised in The Purge: Election Year.

The 82-years-old, actor-director and film narrator, Morgan Freeman has been nominated for five Academy Awards and won in 2005 for Best Supporting Actor for “Million Dollar Baby.” Adams’ directing credits include “The Lightkeepers,” “The Golden Boys” and “An L.A. Minute.”
