Muhammad Rizwan has reportedly gifted Matthew Hayden an English version of The Holy Quran.
Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter, Muhammad Rizwan has given a translated book to the Australian member of the coaching staff.
Legendary Australian batter and current Pakistan team batting consultant, Matthew Hayden while talking to a news outlet said, “I am curious about Islam even though I am a Christian. One follows Christ and the other Mohammad (PBUH), and in a sense never shall meet, but he [Rizwan] presented me with an English version of the Quran. We sat on the floor for half an hour and talked through it. I am reading a bit of it each day. Rizzy [Rizwan] is one of my favorite individuals, a champion human being.”
Speaking at a virtual press conference in Dubai, Matthew Hayden said: “Australia has a very good record of winning the cup. I have played for Australia for two decades and I know cricket very well.
The batting consultant added that Pakistan has very good young players, I have been with the team for a short time but I realize how good they are, the Pakistan team can play well against anyone.
Hayden further added that Dean Jones used to admire Pakistani players very much, he used to say they are my boys. The batting consultant said that Islam has brought together the players which is a very good thing.
