Nadia Hussain’s Husband Atif Khan Denied Bail in Rs 640 Million Fraud Case

Atif Khan was arrested by the FIA on March 10 in connection with a fraud case involving over Rs 640 million, and the investigation is still ongoing.

A local court in Karachi has rejected the post-arrest bail plea of Atif Mohammad Khan, husband of well-known model turned actress and makeup artist Nadia Hussain, who was arrested over allegations of fraud and embezzlement.

As reported, Atif Khan had filed a bail application through his legal counsel in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge (South) Ehsan Malik, which was dismissed after a detailed hearing.

During the proceedings, Khan’s lawyers argued that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) failed to present concrete evidence against their client and did not even provide an audit report related to the allegations.

The defence also claimed that the investigation lacked any mention of the audited accounts linked to the accusations against Khan.

Opposing the bail plea, lawyers representing a private bank informed the court that Atif Khan, as the CEO of a company, was involved in massive corruption and financial fraud, using company funds for his personal business ventures.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the court rejected the bail plea.

Atif Khan was arrested by the FIA on March 10 in connection with a fraud case involving over Rs 640 million, and the investigation is still ongoing.

He is accused of misusing Rs 800 million from a bank and channelling Rs 654 million through a third party for his private businesses, even paying heavy profits from company accounts.

It also emerged that large sums were transferred to the accounts of Nadia Hussain’s salon, and the model-actress had appeared before the FIA to record her statement in connection with the case.
