What we loved about the ceremony was its simple decor followed with a theme so soothing, it was simply beautiful to look at. Hamza Ali Abbasi kept it simple yet stylish in a white shalwar suit with a waist coat while the lady of the evening, the bride, Naimal Khawar Khan, exuded some old world charm in a champagne and gold lehenga.
But do you know, Naimal actually opted to wear her mother’s bridal dress for her nikkah ceremony? Yes, absolutely true, Naimal wanted to wear her mother’s outfit for her big day and it was tweeked and set for her by designer Maheen Shah.
“Naimal wanted to reuse her mother’s bridal and we thought it’ll surely make her look like a timeless bride,” wrote the designer on her Instagram.
Adding further, she stated, “Playing with the old world charm we paired it with a gold kamdaani kameez with gotta and silma work on the front, back border, sleeves and the neckline.”
The outfit was completed with another organza dupatta with kamdaani chatta, finnished with lace, lappa and taamba kiran while hand crafted tassels finished off the final look of Naimal’s dress.

Without a doubt, Naimal Khawar in her simplicity and minimal makeup was a vision to behold, timeless and elegant, something we haven’t really seen on a bride since a long time.
