Nargis Files Lawsuit Against 10 YouTubers for Defamation and Image Tarnishing
Nargis claims that these individuals have tarnished her image through their online activities.
Nargis, a former Lollywood actress has lodged a formal complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Cell against over ten YouTubers, for defamation and tarnishing her image.
This legal action includes notable figures such as Nigar Chaudhry among the accused.
Nargis has accused the YouTubers of damaging her reputation through social media.
As reported, the FIA has registered the case under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), specifically citing sections 20, 21, and 511 related to character assassination.
Nargis claims that these individuals have tarnished her image through their online activities.
This legal action follows a recent incident in which she accused her husband, Inspector Majid Bashir, of assault stemming from financial disputes.
Nargis has also filed a separate case against her husband regarding the alleged domestic violence.
Following the incident, Chairperson Punjab Women Protection Authority (PWPA) Hina Pervaiz Butt vowed to provide justice to renowned film star Nargis in domestic violence case.
“Nargis has been provided the security. It is one of the most heinous crimes to subject the women to torture, she stated. “It is an ordinary thing, and the culprit will be brought to justice,” Hina Butt said as she visited the former actress on Nov 1.
Butt added, “It is our topmost priority to ensure the protection and provide justice to every woman.”
“Subjecting the women to torture and violence is the Punjab government’s redline in light of the instructions given by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz,” Butt added.
