Remembering Nazia Hassan on Her 20th Death Anniversary, Hadiqa Kiani Shares a Heartfelt Note

Pakistan observes the versatile, super talented, and beautifully voiced Nazia Hassan’s 20th Death Anniversary today. Celebrity singer Hadiqa Kiani has shared a heartfelt note for her favourite singer.

While sharing a throwback photo, on her Instagram Haqida wrote:

“The day we lost Nazia Hassan is a day I can never forget. She was kind, generous, loving, and inspiring. We only met a handful of times and each time I was in awe of her beauty and grace. The first time I met her was at this award show where I was being presented with some sort of Best New Artist award and Nazia had found out that I was such a fan. I remember she came up behind me, covered my eyes, and said “guess who?,” I was absolutely still from shock until I heard the most melodious voice say “it’s Naziaaa.”

“My heart stopped. I’m not one to be starstruck but I could not believe it was her. We later talked and I was enchanted by her elegance and humble demeanor. Her support meant the world to me”, she further added.

“I’ll share more stories another time but for now, I will only say that there will NEVER be another Nazia Hassan. I will link a playlist to her songs in my story”, Hadiqa concluded.
