Nick Jonas Reveals his Struggles with Type 1 Diabetes

Celebrity singer Nick Jonas has penned down a heartfelt message for his fans while sharing how he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes precisely 14 years ago. He further explains how he became a health-conscious post-diagnosis.

He also shared the reason behind the co-founding Beyond Type 1 community in 2015. As he says that he did not want anyone suffering from Type 1 diabetes to feel isolated or lonely in their struggles and hence, the community came into existence.

While taking it to social media, Nick wrote a heartfelt post on Instagram, speaking about the diagnosis of his Type 1 diabetes, the singer-cum-actor said, “14 years ago this month I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. This experience has shaped how I approach my health – working out, eating well, and always thinking about my blood sugar and insulin needs.”

He further added, “You can’t always see what goes into managing an invisible illness, and Type 1 diabetes can feel lonely and isolating. That’s why I co-founded @BeyondType1 in 2015, to make sure no one feels alone with this diagnosis and to share how you can thrive with Type 1 diabetes.
