Pakistan mourns demise of Dr. Rubina Saigol

Pakistan mourns the demise of Rubina Saigol, feminist, scholar and educationalist, and one of the pioneering members of the Women’s Action Forum (WAF).
Dr. Rubina Saigol passed away on Friday in Lahore.
As being reported, the noted educationist and activist contracted coronavirus and was under treatment for the last 10 days.
She was also a senior member of WAF and on the advisory board of Simrogh, a nonprofit organization centred around women’s rights.
The Lahore chapter of the WAF announced the news of her death in a tweet.

Her niece, Nida Usman Chaudhry, in a tweet said, “With profound grief and sorrow, I regret to inform that our beloved Ruby khala has passed away. Please pray for her.”

Following the news, the Twitter timeline was soon filled with condolences and tributes for Dr Rubina Saigol.
