Pervez Musharraf’s conviction; Pakistani celebs condemns court’s decision
A special court on Tuesday convicted former military ruler Pervez Musharraf to death under Article 6 of the Constitution in a high treason case related to his declaration of a state of emergency in 2007.
As the court’s verdict came in, it stirred the storm on social media with people reacted against the decision in their own way.
Regarding the judgment of the court, the social media seems divided, the hashtags #JusticeForGenMusharraf, #MusharrafheroofPakistan against the verdict and seeking justice for the retired army chief is trending top on Twitter.
Pakistani celebrities have also come to support the former president and condemned the court’s verdict.
