Prime Minister Imran Khan is Al Jazeera viewers’ ‘personality of the week’ for his efforts to address the issue of Islamophobia.
As per the details, Doha-based international Arabic news channel, AlJazeera runs a weekly programme called ‘Sibaq-ul-Akhbar’.
An hour-long live, interactive programme happens to be the most popular programme in Arab countries.
The programme format includes the week’s three to four top news selected by the channel and asks viewers to vote for which top news story is associated with a certain personality.
Viewers of the Sibaq-ul-Akhbar show that aired on April 24, voted for PM Imran Khan as “Personality of the Week” for his candid views on the issue of Islamophobia.
The Pakistan premier secured 56% votes that led him to be chosen as the personality of the week.
The anchor of the show also highlighted PM Imran Khan’s achievements and later he took an anchor of a private TV channel, Shaukat Paracha, from Pakistan for comments.
