Queen Elizabeth Makes Emotional Speech Amid Coronavirus and Personal Grief

As the UK faces a deadly wave of Coronavirus pandemic that has claimed over 4,000 lives in the country, Queen Elizabeth took out a few moments to address the grieving nation.

In a recorded speech from Windsor Castle, where the Queen remains in self-isolation alongside Prince Philip, the monarch took an emotional approach as she discussed the pandemic and importance of isolation – all the while making a subtle mention of beloved grandson and former royal member Prince Harry.

“Today, once again, many will feel a painful sense of separation from their loved ones, but now as then, we know deep down that it is the right thing to do,” said the Queen as she drew a comparison between personal grief of being away from Harry and staying home to contain the virus spread.

“While we have faced challenges before, this one is different,” she continued.

Experts on royal matters stated that Queen’s speech was an indirect expression of missing Harry who remains in Los Angeles with wife Meghan Markle after parting ways from his family.

“This time, we join with all nations across the globe in a common endeavour, using the great advances of science and our instinctive compassion to heal. We will succeed and that success will belong to every one of us,” concluded the monarch on a more positive and optimistic note.
