Rahat Fateh Ali Khan dismissed media reports of being detained at Dubai airport!
Singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has clarified that news of his arrest was ‘fake and baseless’ after a news outlet reported that he had been detained at Dubai airport.
“News circulating regarding the arrest of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is fake and baseless,” said a post on his Facebook page which has more than eight million followers.
“Any media house/channel spreading the fake news will be dealt with legal action,” it added.
Renowned Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was detained at the Dubai Airport, a news source claimed on Monday.
As reported, Rahat was held at the airport for several hours, with the Dubai police taking him into custody at the Burj Dubai Police Station.
according to Dubai police sources, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has been arrested in Dubai over a defamation complaint by his former manager Salman Ahmed.

According to media reports, Rahat arrived at Dubai airport early Monday from Lahore for a musical collaboration.
The report added, that he was taken into police custody at the immigration centre and was taken to the Burj Dubai police station for questioning and formal charges over the complaint.
