Saba Qamar responds to the QUBOOL’s video shoot controversy

Saba Qamar who is all set to make her directorial debut with Bilal Saeed’s upcoming music video, Qubool has responded to the ongoing backlash on social media.

The music video features a few scenes that were shot at the historical Wazir Khan Mosque and for many viewers, shooting a music video at a mosque was derogatory and disrespectful.

Ever since the video bits came out Qubool and Saba Qamar, have been trending on top of the social media.

However, the actress turned director while sharing the teaser of Qubool on Instagram, posted a brief note.

“This is also the only sequence that was shot at the historical Wazir Khan Mosque. It’s a prologue to the music video featuring a Nikah scene. It was neither shot with any sort of playback music nor has it been edited to the music track. I won’t explain any further as the full video comes out on the 11th of August”, wrote Saba.

“The BTS video that’s making rounds on social media was just a circular movement to click stills for the poster of ‘Qubool’ depicting a happily married couple right after their Nikah. Hurting or offending anyone or being disrespectful to a holy place is as unimaginable and unacceptable for me as for any decent human being”, she further added.

“Despite this, if we have unknowingly hurt anyone’s sentiments we apologise to you all with all our heart. Love & Peace!”, concluded Saba Qamar.
