‘Save Radio From Death’ Urge RJs Dino Ali and Khalid Malik

Pakistan’s top RJs Dino Ali and Khalid Malik recently took to social media, urging the government to save the Pakistan radio industry from death.

Both the RJs stressed the dire need to look into the reasons for the downfall of the radio industry in the country and to revive it. Radio, which by the passage of time has evolved into a medium that is accessible to all segments of society.

Taking it to social media, Khalid  Malik said, “It’s not just about sitting in the car and turning a dial. It’s much more than that”.

“It is the only medium that is accessible to everybody. It is the medium of hope. It is the medium through which people come together, especially in times of hardship.”

“During these uncertain times, I appeal to the powers to keep the radio, to save radio, and allow for radio to play its part in society.”

“I also appeal to advertisers to see radio more than just a frequency or a dial. It is much more and it has come a long way, as it welcomes the digital age,” he added.

Meanwhile, Dino Ali by shared an appeal on social media urged his fans to spread the word to save radio industry in Pakistan.

The appeal was directed towards PM Imran Khan, Shibli Faraz, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Asim Saleem Bajwa, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting.

“We need your help. The Radio Industry is going through a very serious time and we need everyone to help us get the word out to the right people. If you can share this poster on your Facebook profile/pages and Instagram and tag the concerned people at the top please”, wrote Dino.
