Shah Rukh and Kajol to be cast in “Hindi Medium” sequel?
Bollywood most loved on-screen couple Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol might be seen together in Hindi Medium 2, sequel to the mega-hit starrer Irrfan Khan’s 2017 film Hindi Medium. Reports surfaced on Bombay Times reveals that producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films has approached SRK and Kajol to play the lead pair in Hindi Medium 2. As per the report, the two actors have already participated in the initial reading sessions.
Reports surrounding on Indian Media told, Irrfan Khan, too will be a part of the project as the actor will reprise his role with a new story. The shooting of the film, this time will reportedly be set in the US. It will be interesting to see Irfan and SRK together as they were seen in Billu in 2008. Off-screen too, the two share a great rapport. Hindi Medium was directed by Saket Chaudhary. Since he is no longer a part of the franchise, Homi Adjania will direct the sequel.
A couple of months ago, there were rumors that SRK had given Irrfan the keys to his London house where the latter is being treated for neuroendocrine tumour.
For SRK and Kajol, who have starred as a romantic pair in films Baazigar, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, My Name is Khan and Dilwale.
However, still there is no official announcement for the project. But, if the reports are true, Hindi Medium 2 would be their first social drama. How their chemistry will add to a project such as this would be very interesting to see.
