Shaniera Akram encourages people coping with depression to open-up

This time it was Shaniera Akram, who took to Twitter to talk about mental health, encouraging people coping with depression to open up about their sufferings.  The recent death of Pakistani model Anam Tanoli has sparked debate regarding depression on local platforms. Many celebrities are putting their best foot forward to enable people to open up about their depression cycles.

Many famous personalities have taken to social media to call attention to the hidden nature of depression. ‘World Suicide Prevention Day’, was being celebrated across the globe on 10th of September.

“To anyone out there suffering depression, please ask for help. It’s 2018, You don’t have to walk alone anymore”, wrote Shaniera Akram.

In her next tweet, she mentioned, “If we don’t understand, how are we ever able to help? If you know someone who is in the darkness, be their light and try to understand what they are going through. You might never know the difference you have made to someone’s life, just by understanding”

“By not understanding we are only leaving our loved ones alone in the darkness”, she further added in her next tweet.
