Folk singer Shaukat Ali to undergo liver transplant at Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences, Khairpur
Punjabi folk singer Shaukat Ali has been admitted to Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences, Khairpur on Monday to undergo a liver transplant.
Sindh government came forward to the veteran singer’s aide following news that the artist had been struggling for means in order to get treated for liver ailment.
The legendary singer has been admitted at the institute on the directive of CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah following media news of Shaukat Ali’s health.
Responding to the news of Shaukat Ali being admitted to hospital, advisor to CM Sindh Murtaza Wahab said, “t is our duty to serve people & the health initiatives of #SindhGovt continue to serve all Pakistanis whether its NICVD, GIMS, JPMC, NICH or private institutions which are funded & supported by Sindh Govt“.

The veteran singer, known best for his 1965 and 1971 war songs, has been facing health problems for the past several years.
