Sushant Singh Rajput’s Suicide Makes Pakistani Celebs Talk About Mental Health

Sunday morning soon turned gloomy as by the afternoon news of 34-year old Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide hit the media. Among the mourner fans, fraternity, and celebrities from across the border included who now are addressing mental health issues and urging everyone to be emphatic, kind and supportive to people who are battling depression or other challenges.

“Why have we made it cool to be ‘straight-up’? That isn’t honesty; it’s downright apathy! Be kind and proud. Wear it like a badge. Be kind. Be kind. Be kind. There is much more to people than they show. Be kind!” Mahira Khan took to Twitter to raise her voice.

Osman Khalid Butt who is known as a vocal and well-informed celebrity also decided to give his two cents on the tragic event that shook everyone to the core.

“When someone is brave enough to talk to you about their mental health issues, their battle with depression & anxiety, listen to them. Really listen,” tweeted OKB. “You can help beyond the performative ‘it’ll get better’,” he added.

Meanwhile, actresses Zara Noor Abbas and Mawra Hocane also took to social media to pray for the late actor and talk about mental well-being.

You keep things to yourself as you are always thrown by what people will interpret it as. That fear is what makes you sulk deep into the darkness. So just before you make a judgment about someone, STOP and think about the inner battle that they are constantly fighting,” tweeted Zara.

Whereas Mawra said, “It’s so important for all of us to be Kind, to be compassionate, to be polite. We all have a role to play in each other’s life. Let’s all have a big heart for one another. Let’s please be KIND!!!!! #SushantSinghRajput RIP!”.
