Punjabi stage actor and comedian Tariq Teddy passes away in Lahore

He was also best known for his comedic performance in the 2004 film Salakhain due to his sharp and witty comebacks.

Punjabi stage actor and comedian Tariq Teddy passes away in Lahore on Saturday after prolonged illness.

News of his demise was confirmed by his son Junaid.

As reported, late actor suffered from liver-related health issues, which reportedly worsened with time, leading to his untimely death.

Teddy was admitted to the PKLI [Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute] about a week ago and was put on ventilator as his conditioned worsened.

Punjab Cheif Minister Pervez Elahi, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb and others have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Tariq Teddy.

Teddy started his career in performing arts in the year 1990 and became popular for his knack for playing clever roles in stage plays and Punjabi films.

He is best known for 2004 film Salakhain.
