‘This is not a holiday,’ Mehwish Hayat sends out a strong message to fans on coronavirus pandemic

While the nation is going through dark times amidst the coronavirus outbreak in the country, our celebs are playing a major role by advising and urging their fans to stay safe and stay home to help stop the rapid spread of the virus in the country.

Popular TV and film actress Mehwish Hayat has requested people to stay at home to save lives as even their minor negligence can put many in danger.

“Pakistan is facing the biggest challenge currently, how we behave now will decide the fate of our generations to come,” Mehwish said in her video message to fans on Instagram.

The actress discussed the statistics while emphasizing on the fact that even the most efficient healthcare departments of the world have failed at the hands of the pandemic.

“What chances do we have then? In a place like Karachi where 20 million people reside, the intensive care wards have only 600 beds. Pakistan’s population is 220 million and the number of ventilators across the country? 1700. Last week there were only 15000 masks for doctors and nurses..”

“This is not a holiday,” she said urging fans to act responsibly and protect themselves and their loved ones.
