TikTok Star Denisse Reyes Dies at 27 Following Botched Liposuction in Unlicensed Clinic in Mexico
The incident has sparked discussions about the dangers associated with unregulated cosmetic surgeries

Denisse Reyes, a 27-year-old TikTok influencer known for her vibrant online presence, tragically passed away following complications from a liposuction procedure performed at an unauthorized clinic in Chiapas, Mexico.
Mexican social media influencer had a negative reaction to that medication that would eventually lead to her death.
As reported, the surgery took place on January 26, 2025, at the San Pablo Medical Clinic in Tuxtla Gutiérrez. Reports indicate that she was administered intravenous medication by Dr. Orlando Gamboa, the surgeon, which led to severe complications.
After the surgery, Denisse initially communicated with her followers about her recovery; however, her condition rapidly deteriorated.
According to her uncle, Ammao Rodríguez, she experienced cardiac arrest shortly after the procedure due to an adverse reaction to the medication. Medical staff attempted to manage the situation but ultimately transferred her to Manzur Hospital for intensive care due to the lack of such facilities at the initial clinic.
Unfortunately, she succumbed to her complications on January 29, just days after the surgery.
Denisse leaves behind an eight-year-old son and was described by family members as being in good health before the operation. Her family is now pursuing legal action against Dr Gamboa and is working with health authorities in Chiapas to seek justice for her untimely death.
The incident has sparked discussions about the dangers associated with unregulated cosmetic surgeries and the importance of ensuring that such procedures are performed by licensed professionals.
