Earlier today, Hollywood actor Tom Hanks and his singer wife Rita Wilson were tested positive for Coronavirus in Sydney, Australia. The couple has since then been moved to Gold Coast University Hospital where they are said to be stable and being monitored.

“Hello folks, Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired like we had colds, and some body aches,” Tom took to social media to announce regarding his contraction of the virus.

“To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive,” he added.

After the news came out, all the cast and crew members at Tom Hank’s film set Elvis – where he plays the manager of the legendary singer Elvis Presley – have been told to self-quarantine and tested for the virus. In addition, the film’s production has been halted until the situation is clear.

Tom’s wife Rita who was in Australia to promote her new album Halfway to Home, gave performances in Brisbane and then Opera House, Sydney. She also attended a TV show, host and crew of which are in self-quarantine.

Authorities, continue to further continue to track down contacts who may have interacted with the couple in Australia to look out for potential Coronavirus cases.

On the other hand, according to Hank’s son Chet, there’s nothing to be worried about and Tom and Rita are well taken care of.

“They’re not worried about it, they’re not tripping but they’re going through the necessary health precautions obviously. I don’t think it’s anything to be too worried about,” said Chet.
