“Truly overwhelmed by the award of Medal of Excellence to be bestowed on me,” Mehwish Hayat

Along with 127 other Pakistanis including actors, anchors and media personalities, Mehwish Hayat is all set to be honored with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz or the Medal of Excellence as it is known.

Mehwish Hayat’s relentless work in a number of top Pakistani films, her global recognition for her work and her dedication to her craft has made her the recipient of the Medal of Excellence.

Taking to Twitter, the actress, went on to express her honor to be awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and said she was truly overwhelmed.

“Truly overwhelmed by the award of Medal of Excellence to be bestowed on me. Shows that years of blood,sweat,tears & hardwork pays off. Hope that this acts as inspiration 2 all the girls who see me as a role model.U cn achieve anything in this world!don’t let any1 tell u otherwise,” wrote the diva.

Mehwish Hayat has played the central role in  number of high grossing films in Pakistan including Actor In Law, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, Punjab Nahi Jaungi and also Load Wedding. Hayat also has some top dramas to her credit namely Dil Lagi, Mere Qatil Mere Dildar and Mirat ul Uroos amongst others. Having won best actress for Lux Style Awards and International Pakistan Prestige Awards (IPPA) Mehwish Hayat truly deserves to be bestowed with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for her hard work and contributions to the entertainment industry in Pakistan.
