The world is fighting the pandemic coronavirus and the medics have been the frontline soldiers in this battle. Around the world, doctors and nurses have been on their toes, trying their best to save one life after another. Some of them have even succumbed to the disease themselves but the remaining continue to fight with an even stronger spirit.
People have been saluting and cheering on for the medical professionals for their untiring efforts, but Pakistani actress, Ushna Shah has a problem.
Recently, Ushna Shah posted a status questioning the small viral videos, that show groups of doctors, taking a small break and dancing in between attending to the patients.
Ushna clearly doesn’t approve of the medics taking dancing breaks and wasting precious time. The actress shared her concerns for these very short videos in a now-deleted tweet.
“I’m curious to know people’s thoughts on doctors/nurses creating choreographed dances in hospitals. I’m conflicted: on one hand, I understand they need uplifting breaks, but on the other, these dances seem quite time-consuming, precious time-consuming. Thoughts”, said the actress on her social media.
Ushna’s tweet comes off as inconsiderate because if she understands that the doctors need uplifting breaks, there are no second thoughts and questions that remain.
Thousands of patients have died in the arms of these doctors and nurses and if they take a 10-minute break (in 24 hours) to dance to their pleasure, what is the harm in that, Ushna? Even doctors are human beings, they too, deserve their well earned, breaks.
