Pakistan Television Industry senior actor Anwar Iqbal Baloch has died at the age of 71 after a long illness due to cancer.
Confirming the news of the actor’s death, Anwer Iqbal’s family said that the funeral prayer will be offered today after Isha’s prayers at Baitul Mukarram Mosque, Hassan Square, Karachi.
According to the family, Anwar Iqbal Baloch will be buried in Mewa Shah Cemetery.
Anwar Iqbal’s wife also passed away a few months ago. Anwar Iqbal has left four daughters in mourning.

Born on December 25, 1949, Anwar Iqbal was the son of a well-known politician from Balochistan Mr. Haji Muhammed Iqbal Baloch, who played a prominent role in the independence of Pakistan.
He became a household name in Pakistan for his role as ‘Nana ki Jan Qamru‘ in the drama serial Shama, PTV 1976 classic. And acted in numerous Urdu and Sindhi dramas.
He received a Masters degree from the University of Karachi and began his career in 1976 with the production of “Hammal o Mahganj” which he also acted, Pakistan’s first Balochi feature film,
He went on to produce the Sindhi drama “Dosten jo Piar” three years later.
Anwar Iqbal was awarded Pride of Performance in 2016 for his services in the field of arts and entertainment.
Anwar Iqbal, who made a name for himself in the world of acting, was also a teacher. He had been associated with a private school and have taught many children.
