Veteran actor Qavi Khan passed away in Canada aged 80!
Nishan-i-Imtiaz, the highest civil award in Pakistan, recipient passed away after a prolonged illness.
Qavi was ill and was staying in Canada with his son Adnan
The funeral prayer and burial will be announced later, Adnan Qavi said.
Muhammad Qavi Khan best known by his stage name Qavi featured in more than 200 films and TV plays since the mid-1960s.
He was a prominent figure at the theatre, having acted in several plays throughout his career.
Qavi is among the first actors of Pakistan Television Corporation when it was launched in 1964 with the drama Nazrana.
Pakistan mourns the passing of one of the finest actors.
