Veteran Bollywood actress Nimmi passes away at 88

Veteran Bollywood actress Nawab Bano, popularly known as Nimmi, passed away in Mumbai on March 25.
She had been ailing for quite some time and had been in and out of the hospital this year, according to Indian media reports, she breathed her last at her residence in Mumbai.
The veteran actress had started her career from Raj Kapoor’s film Barsaat. She was also given the screen name of Nimmi by Raj Kapoor.
Soon after her death news started circulating on social media, condolences started pouring from Bollywood fraternity, particularly from the veteran actors who had worked with the yesteryear star.
Rishi Kapoor remembered the veteran actress in a social media post, revealing how she had showered a blessing on his film ‘Bobby’.

The veteran actress earned praise for her performance in films like ‘Daag’, ‘Aan’ and ‘Mere Mehboob’ to name a few.
