Former cricketer Wasim Akram is having a bad day as he lost a precious family heirloom watch on a Karachi to Dubai, Emirates flight. The cricketer after seeking assistance from all sources, finally resorted to social media to contact the airline.
“Lost my watch on flight EK 605 seat 10a KHI-DXB. I am now following @emirates,” tweeted Wasim.
“Please have someone contact me ASAP as I have exercised all customer service points in Dubai and do not feel comfortable that enough has been done. This watch is a family heirloom,” he added.
Now as frustrating as the cricketer’s experience may have been with on-ground customer service, Emirates Airlines was quick to respond on social media and offer assistance.
“Hi Wasim, please DM us the description of the watch along with your flight details and email address. We’ll check on this with our Lost and Found Team and let you know,” tweeted Emirates in response.
We sincerely hope that the cricketer turned commentator finds his valued watch at the earliest.
