Why will Queen Elizabeth not attend Baby Sussex’s christening?

Son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor was born on May 6, and will finally be christened in July as revealed by his parents.

The very important royal event will take place in St. George’s Chapel, Windsor. The chapel is at a very small distance from The Sussex’s residence Frogmore Cottage. It’s the same place where his parents got married and Prince Harry was baptized back in 1984.

Moreover, the Queen has been speculated to not attend her great grandson’s christening due to her Royal Engagements, which are scheduled in the first week of July. She was also absent on Prince Louis’s christening last year in July because of the same reason.

The ceremony would be overseen by the Dean of Windsor, the Rev David Conner, and the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.

Little Archie would be seen in the same replica of the royal Honiton lace christening gown like his cousins.

Although Her Majesty wouldn’t be there, Meghan Markle’s mother Ms. Doria Ragland and the Prince of Wales along with his wife, as well as the Prince of Cambridge William and Kate will be present at the occasion.
