We all have come to know how fine drama writer Asma Nabeel is, her last creation “Khaani” has left audience enthralled with the story she has woven. From material love to finding eternal peace within oneself, “Khaani” has had a lot to offer to the audience.
Asma Nabeel has established herself as a writer who highlights a challenging social dogma. While talking to OY, the writer shared a few details about her new serial” Baandi”, meaning a bond slave. Produced by Moomal Entertainment for Hum TV, “Baandi” is going to be a family oriented drama serial which is going to be entirely based on a social issue highlighting ordeals of household maid and helper, and domestic violence which is faced by them at various levels.
“Baandi, again is going to be a social issue based drama, as you all can get an idea of my style of writing”, says Asma. “In recent times we all have seen some terrible news, when young girls working as full time house hold help were brutally tortured by their employers, this drama is based on such a story where a young girl goes through many ordeals at various levels”, added Asma.
Telling about the story plot Asma Nabeel added, “We don’t live in such times any more when slavery used to exist, but unfortunately we are still practicing such traits, negligence resides on both sides. Those who leave young girls to work full time and stay at work jobs, and those who hire such young girls full time and considering them more as there slaves”.
“Baandi” will be directed by Syed Ahmed Kamran, for Momal Entertainment for Hum TV. Aiman Khan and Muneeb Butt will be sharing the screen together in this drama series along with Hina Dilpazir, Yasir Hussain and Noman Masood amongst others in prominent roles. Yasir Hussain has been roped in to play one of the meanest and evil villains of all time in Baandi. All the characters and the developing story line will come to light soon tells Asma Nabeel.
Writer Asma Nabeel also shares that cameras for the serial are going to roll after the Eid, yet the on air time will be finalized by the production house shortly. Here’s waiting eagerly for Baandi and viewing our favorite couple in the drama.
