Acclaimed music composer Zulfiqar Ali Attre has passed away in Lahore at the age of 61 after suffering a heart attack.

His death marked a significant loss for the music industry in Pakistan, where he was celebrated for his contributions to film music.

Attre was particularly known for his work on various iconic films, leaving behind a legacy of memorable compositions.

At the time of his passing, Attre was involved in his final project as a music director for the film Welcome Punjab, which remains incomplete as filming is still underway.

His contributions to music earned him recognition and accolades, including the Pride of Performance Award, underscoring his impact on the cultural landscape of Pakistan.

Attre composed music for over 50 films, including Chooriyan and Majajan, with his most notable work being the song Mukhra for Sarmad Khoosat’s 2022 film Kamli.
