Another doctor died in Islamabad on Saturday after contracting coronavirus, the deputy commissioner said in a statement.
The 72-year-old doctor’s death is the second from the virus in the federal capital, Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat said on Twitter.
The official while extending condolences to the grieving family said, they were arranging for the funeral as per the notified SOPs of federal government.
The number of recorded cases of coronavirus in Islamabad now reached 163. There are currently 7,945 cases across the country.
So far, the virus has claimed 144 lives in Pakistan.
