Global coronavirus death toll surpasses 800,000

The number of deaths from the novel coronavirus has exceeded 800,000 globally, reports AFP on Saturday.

According to the reports, worldwide 800,004 deaths have been reported, out of 23,003,079 declared infections.

The reports further added that Latin America and the Caribbean is the most affected region with 254,897 deaths.

More than half of global deaths from the lethal infection have been reported in four countries: the United States with 175,416, Brazil with 113,358, Mexico 59,610 and India 55,794.
