Harry and Meghan deliver meals during coronavirus pandemic

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Wednesday delivered meals to almost two dozen Los Angeles residents living with serious illnesses, several reports emerged.

According to the report in ET, the couple have joined with Project Angel Food, and delivered around 20 meals on Wednesday.

ET reported that Meghan knew about the Project Angel Food from her childhood living in the area, and had been encouraged by their inclination to help for the needy despite the coronavirus crisis.

The couple, during their deliveries followed safe social distancing procedures by wearing gloves and masks while handling the food and keeping at least six feet away from others, even while dropping off meal.

Administration of the NGO were reportedly excited with the couple’s decision to support their work, saying they were “blown away” to have the support.

The couple reportedly volunteered to deliver meals on Easter Sunday as well. Reports said the deliveries mark the couple’s first local charity endorsement since they moved to California last month.

They also have donated 90,000 pounds to Feeding Britain, which is supporting food-insecure families across the pond. Harry and Meghan are also working on launching a charity of their own later this month.
