Pakistan reports 498 new COVID-19 cases, 7 deaths in last 24 hours

Pakistan reported 498 COVID-19 cases during the last 24 hours taking the nationwide tally to 289,215.

As being In the past 24 hours, 22,448 coronavirus tests were carried out across the country. Out of the total new cases, Sindh reported 278 cases, Punjab 188, Balochistan 61 coronavirus cases, and KP 62 cases.

Pakistan also reported seven deaths from the novel virus. Sindh reported four deaths, Punjab two and KP reported one fatality.

According to the government’s COVID-19 portal shows that 2,786 more people have recovered from the coronavirus in the country, taking the total to 269,087.

The government’s Covid-19 portal shows that 771 virus patients are in critical condition.

Punjab:

Punjab has reported 56 new coronavirus infections, down from 188 a day earlier, according to the government’s COVID-19 portal. This has taken the provincial tally of corona cases to 95,447.

More than 88,000 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Punjab.

Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu, and Kashmir:

Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir have collectively reported 31 new coronavirus cases and one additional fatality.

The breakdown of COVID-19 cases is as follows:

  • Islamabad: 12 cases
  • GB: 16 cases, 1 death
  • AJK: 3 cases

KP:

Balochistan:

Balochistan has reported 61 coronavirus cases during the past 24 hours, according to the provincial health department’s daily situation report.

Furthermore,  10 older cases have been included in the provincial total which is now 12,295. However, the death toll remains 138.

Sindh:

Sindh reported 278 coronavirus cases and five deaths during the last 24 hours.

According to CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah 9,044 tests were conducted during this period. With the new cases, the provincial total has risen to 126,182 while the death toll is 2,322
