Watch: Delhi cops dressed as “coronavirus zombies” to discourage lockdown violations

New Delhi police on Monday transformed themselves into “coronavirus zombies”, wearing virus protective suits and helmets shaped like the COVID-19 in An effort to convince people to practice social distancing.

Police in Delhi have got creative in their efforts to promote social distancing and discourage lockdown violations.

Recently, a video of police in Tamil Nadu placing lockdown violators in an ambulance with a COVID-19 patient, who was not infected but pretended to be, went viral.

On March 25, India imposed a lockdown in a bid to contain the spread of the highly contagious virus, which has infected 29,451 people, killing 939 of them, according to the latest figures.

India has tested about 525,000 people, meaning some 4 percent were positive.
