Dil Kiya Karay – Episode 22 Review

Dil Kya Karay is a signature production of 7th Sky Entertainment, created by the expert duo of Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi. The potent storyline written by the Khani-famed writer Asma Nabeel and directed by the director extraordinaire Mehreen Jabbar, speaks volumes on its own.

A love triangle that is being played by Yumna Zaidi as Aiman, Feroze Khan as Armaan and Mirza Zain Baig as Saadi is evident in the story. The other cast of the drama also includes big names like Marina Khan, Sarmad Khoosat, Shamim Hillay, and Sonia Rehman.

With the past few episodes, we see that after the death of Saadi, Aiman’s entire world is on the verge of collapsing, but she gets her reason to live in the form of her child. The latest episode displays how she has now been able to collect herself to stand up for justice for Saadi’s brutal killing by the politicians. One of them, Bilal, seems to feel threatened by her stance and is moderately insecure as the elections are just around the corner. As simple as the character sounds, Yumna’s brilliant acting skills add versatility to it; no one other than her could have played this character so effortlessly.

Not to forget the exceptional performance of Feroze Khan, where he dissolves himself into Armaan’s character to the core. Armaan’s only aim in life is now to take care of Aiman and her child and to begin the fight for justice for Saadi’s death with the corrupt politicians. As much as his mother Rumeesa dislikes his attitude towards Aiman, he couldn’t control himself not to be there each and every time Aiman needs him.

The latest episode also reveals another side of Rumeesa, that of being under the influence of some Peer. She has been feeding Faryal and Armaan some water that has been read on and permeated sugar in order for her kids to get married as soon as possible. The way she represents this complex character is just Marina Khan’s thing – so natural and proficient. Finally, Rabia manages to voice her feelings for Hussain in front of Bibi. Rabia and Hussain decide to carry forward their relationship after Aiman gets through with her agenda of getting justice for Saadi’s murder. The on-screen chemistry between Sarmad Khoosat and Sonya Rehman is truly one of its kind and they make a decent couple together.

The cast and overall acting skills portrayed by everyone is truly outclassed; there is no denial in it. The storyline is getting intense by each episode and the next episode might reveal if Arman and Aiman will succeed in getting justice for Saadi or if there is some danger roaming around Aiman that has alarmed her family already.
