Ek Jhoota Lafz Mohabbat Ep-14 Review: Areesha is playing her cards so cleverly
Express TV drama serial Ek Jhoota Lafz Mohabbat is turning too disturbing and toxic. The narrative of sister rivalry makes everything so ugly I wish drama makers would understand this. Why in our dramas they are trying to normalize an ugly side of our society that rarely exists. In the previous episode, we have seen Maaz staying loyal to his wife but in this episode, his character is making no sense, why doesn’t he just literally shun Areesha.
Maaz’s character in this play is not making any sense, his character is so wishy-washy that one side he clearly rejects Areesha saying that he will never leave Aleeza and on the other hand he is being a nincompoop who does not react to Areesha’s flirtatious advances in fact it looks as if he is comfortable with it. why? Why he is not shunning Areesha and her advances?
Maaz’s sister’s track seems unnecessary but it feels like maybe it has significance. Maaz’s sister does not use to give any importance to her own husband but when she sees him smiling and talking with another woman her world turns upside down and she starts doubting her husband. Well apparently her husband seems loyal to her but this episode has made her more empathetic towards Aleeza.
Aleeza is so naive that Maaz’s sister’s empathy towards her seems useless as she is not ready to believe her. Aleeza is clearly watching Areesha being so close and frank with Maaz and she also hears her phupho telling Areesha that Aleeza should get out of their way as Maaz’s happiness is with Areesha. Any blind person can also figure out that it is Areesha who is actually after her husband but no Aleeza is being dumb and she is not ready to use her own brain.
Areesha is playing her cards very cleverly. She lies to Aleeza that Maaz has proposed to her but she has refused him as she can never think of ruining her house and Aleeza is such an idiot that she actually believes in this stupid story. She actually believes her vile sister when she clearly knows her nature and also that she has herself witnessed her being close and frank with Maaz. Aleeza starts doubting Maaz and instead of directly addressing her concerns she is just being upset. Areesha is so mean that she lies to her phupho and Maaz that Aleeza has asked her to leave the house. Aleeza is so dumb that no bell rings in her mind when Maaz tells her that why she has asked Aleeza to leave the house when she doesn’t say anything like that nor does she open her eyes when she sees Areesha talking with Maaz giving her rose?
