Ek Jhoota Lafz Mohabbat Ep-23 Review: Aleeza for the first time speaks for herself

Express TV’s drama serial Ek Jhoota Lafz Mohabbat with its problematic narrative is 23 episodes down. Amna Ilyas and Junaid Khan have given brilliant performances. In the previous episode, we have seen that Maaz is reluctant to divorce Aleeza. In this episode, Aleeza for the very first time speaks for herself. She lost her biggest support her mother.

Aleeza’s mother admits that she and her husband have put Aleeza in such a difficult situation. They for their honor have ruined her life. After gaining her sanity back Aleeza’s mother is continuously contemplating how badly Aleeza is being treated by her mother-in-law. She takes all that on her heart and dies.

Poor Aleeza has suffered a lot, she is already going through so much trouble, and on top of that, she has lost her biggest support her mother. Aleeza is in a state of shock, she is not even crying or mourning her mother’s death like Areesha. Well, one wonders if Areesha really crying or she is just doing a drama? It seems too much of a stretch to kill Aleeza’s mother, her father also dies of a broken heart and now her mother too also dies in a similar way.

The toxic neighbors and their vile remarks are what needs to be shut up by Maaz but he remains quiet. Saad is a real idiot, he clearly knows that because of him Aleeza is defamed and all neighborhood is scandalizing him with her then why he is not maintaining a distance from Aleeza why not be a little careful. Despite all such things, Saad appears in Aleeza’s mother’s funeral? Why? Doesn’t he realize that his presence at the funeral will raise eyebrows of the public and even Aleeza’s family will question her? It will be going to create further problems for Aleeza.

Areesha is so vile that she questions her sister that has she called Saad? For the very first time, Aleeza speaks for herself. She gives Areesha a befitting reply showing her a mirror, telling her that she has always used her as tissue paper and she is cursing herself that she is so naive that she always let herself be used. Moreover, Aleeza does not stop there she also questions her mother-in-law and phupho that why she has been always so mistreated by her? What was her fault why she is being so hated by her? She also recalls when her phupho throws her out of the house. It is good to see Aleeza having the guts to speak out for her own self.
