Ishq Tamasha Episode 17 Review: Mehrab Weds Rushna

Finally, Rushna’s dream came true, but did it happen for the better or for the worse. This is what we’ll need to find out. Misbah Nousheen has certainly weaved a very interesting tale and complimented by Danish Nawaz’s brilliant direction, you have a feel good drama that hooks you to it and makes you anticipate each episode, week after week.

This week, we got to see how Mehrab has a soft corner for Mirha. He became restless upon her accident, choosing to stay with her until she regained conscious. Now, what we are still debating is the whether Mehrab has developed feelings for Mirha or is he feeling responsible for her because he is the cause of her situation. Even though phupo threw Mirha out, Mehrab insists upon taking her back.

Junaid Khan is absolutely wonderful in his performance as Mehrab. You enjoy his angry young man persona, one who is writhing in pain, but does show. Aiman Khan too is amazing in her role as Mirha, the calm, composed woman, who has accepted her life as it is.

Mirha, who until now had shown no sign of an interest in Mehrab, is slowly developing feelings for him. She insists on taking care of little things for him, ensuring his complete rest. And even when phupo spews venom against her, she keeps her cool.

Rushna on the other hand convinced her family to accept  Mehraab’s proposal and she weds him in a very simple ceremony. However, what we are confused about is the fact that despite Rushna’s mother knowing that he is the guy who Mirha eloped with (remember Mehrab came to convince chachi jan about Mirha)  and also Wahaaj has seen Mehrab once in a hospital with Mirha, so how come both of them agreed to the proposal. However, it seems more of our questions will be answered next week.

Rushna has discovered Arham’s death. She sees his grave when Mehrab refuses to budge from the graveyard. Kinza Hashmi is certainly a very viable addition to the industry. Her acting, her dialogue delivery and her demeanor are absolutely perfect and well suited to her role. A despicable character, yet Kinza Hashmi makes you love Rushna for who she is.

What will happen next is what we can’t wait to see because the story has our interest piqued. Lets see what Misbah Nosheen has up her sleeve, for the next week.
