Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum Ep-1 Review: Sharjeena and Mustafa are poles apart
Wait to see when opposites will attract each other.

Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, ARY Digital’s much-anticipated drama starts with a bang marking Fahad Mustafa’s return to drama acting.
Written by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Badar Mehmood, The drama revolves around the concept of ‘Opposites Attract’.
Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum features an ensemble cast including Fahad Mustafa as Mustafa, Hania Aamir as Sharjeena, Emmad Irfani as Adeel, Javed Sheikh as Iftekhar, Bushra Ansari as Shagufta, Maya Khan as Sidra, Naeema Butt as Rubab, Tauseeq Haider, and Yousuf Bashir Qureshi.
The story opens by introducing the main characters and building up the plot as two families prepare for the weddings of their children.
Fahad Mustafa is playing Mustafa a relaxed and carefree soul who lives in a world of his own. He is a genius tech geek who loves frolicking around the streets with his biker friends. His antics make his family supper annoyed and force him to pay attention to wedding preparations after he is wrongly arrested by police. But now one in his family wants to listen to his story.
Hania Aamir plays Sharjeena, a bibliophile, topper and sorted girl with a practical approach who is set to marry Mustafa’s elder brother Adeel (Emmad Irfani).
Adeel seems to be a snob who is status-conscious and is supper annoyed whenever things go against his ego and standards. Sharjeena has sensed the difference in their compatibility but is quiet as the wedding date is set.
Both the families are super busy finalizing preparations for the wedding. But we smell a big twist in the story when Adeel’s female boss finds out he is getting married. She bluntly tells him that she wants to marry him.
And the drama’s teaser tells all what’s going to happen next.
Sharheena will end up marrying Mustafa in the last. How the story builds up, is going to be an emotional rollercoaster.
Overall, the first episode was a powerful watch both in terms of storytelling, dialogues and especially the camera work. I like the framing, especially the scene which cuts to show shopping at the iconic Empress Market. After a long time, we find something refreshing to watch when it comes to Pakistani drama standards.
Can’t wait for the next episode.
