Kuch Ankahi Episode-7 Review: Salman and Aliya’s banters add life to the screens

Thanvi and Phupho's encounter is the highlight of this episode

ARY Digital has aired another refreshing episode of Kuch Ankahi. As mentioned before the play showcases a gallery of riveting characters with their backstories due to which sometimes I miss mentioning some major characters and even forget their names. However, this is the strength and beauty of this play that all these characters’ stories are so artfully knitted. In this episode we see lively banters of Aaliya and Salman and Phupho’s encounter with Thanvi also adding colours.

Meena, the house help’s household is shown to be too problematic, where she works hard to make both ends meet and is physically, emotionally and financially abused by her drunkard good for nothing husband. It is so heartbreaking to see Meena’s savings being robbed by her husband. Her husband’s nephew seems a nice guy and the way he is supporting his chachi seems like he is a sane-headed guy, unlike his drunken uncle.

Meena’s trials and troubles seem never-ending, she is already not overcome her loss, when she sees Deepak coming back from work too late and she has sensed that there is something wrong with the child. Has the poor child been sexually assaulted by his master sahab? The poor boy is not uttering a single word but crying all the time, a classic example of a traumatized victim. Samia’s concern for Deepak looks so heart-touching.

Saif ur Rehman is such a simp that his Chamak Chalo has burnt all Samia’s wedding clothes and still his mother has the audacity to go to the function without Bari. Why he is letting his mother ruin Saima’s life? Salman and Aliya’s banters are what we want to see more and we are glad that we will be going to see more of them as Salman has finally shifted to Agha Jaan’s house upper portion. Salman is smitten by Aliya but yes professional competition still exists!

Samia’s colourful wedding festivities begin with her Mayon. She is happily ready to face what life will be going to throw at her. Her character seems too good to be true. Tania’s mother’s body shaming her and trying to make her look attractive so that someone will accept her is a typical desi mom mentality which needs to be changed. Thanvi and Phupho’s encounter is the highlight of this episode. Vaneeza Ahmed and Babar Ali’s chemistry looks crackling. It is so refreshing to see Babar Ali in an interesting role. Still, there is so much to unfold. An excellent and refreshing weekend watch!
