Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha Episode-20 Review: Saad’s father is in critical condition

ARY Digital drama serial Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha is 20 episodes down. The latest episode is full of absurdities. Performances by the lead actors are good. But weak performances by few supporting cast which is a huge turn-off. In the previous episode, we have seen that Saad finally gets released on Areeb’s orders.

Saad is back home and the first person after his father, he sees is Maheer he is about to embrace her when Neelo comes in between them and hugs her brother. Maheer’s mother is the vilest person I have ever seen totally ignoring the fact that how Saad and his family are suffering because of Areeb’s family. Maheer’s mother starts creating a fuss about Neelo’s accusation of Maheer which actually is based on truth.

To our surprise, Saad asks Neelo to apologize for her behavior but Neelo is being Neelo, she is resolute that whatever she has said is nothing but the truth so she will not excuse herself no matter what happens. Maheer for the very first time behaves sanely she tells her mother that Saad needs him and despite her mother stopping her, she goes to Saad and tries to console him in her own way. There is an exchange of a few deep dialogues. Maheer still doesn’t know how deeply Saad loves her!

Saad asks her that has she visited Areeb in the hospital and when she says yes it disturbs him the most. By the way, I really like the way Maheer is trying to explain to her why she has gone there and it is not like that she does not care for him. Well in the next scene she makes a call to Areeb and when Neelo catches her she conveniently lies. Maheer is a compulsive liar. In the next scene after such serious talk going we see Neelo’s different, extremely excited side which is not gelling well with the story flow.

Then there is another absurd scene where Saad is having lunch with a friend of Maheer in a cafe where he is actually waiting for a mutual friend of hers with whom he has some business. Anyways the slimy cousin of Maheer, Anabia sees Saad with Maheer’s friend sitting alone in a lunch, and without even thinking twice she starts accusing Saad of having an affair and starts comparing him with Areeb! Is she for real? Maheer here shown has some sanity. Neeloo’s over-excitement over her dowry collection leads towards a tragic turn when her potential father in law out of nowhere calls Neelo’s father and breaks her relationship giving a reason for their ill reputation and Maheer and her relationship with Areeb resulting in Saad’s father getting the cardiac arrest! Hope he won’t die!
