Pyar Ke Sadqey Episode-12: Abdullah and Mahajabeen are a pair made in Heaven

Pyar Ke Sadqey one of the finest drama serials in the running at HUM TV. This drama seems to be redefining Pakistani drama, as far as the treatment of the story is concerned, it is fully taking care of the entertainment perspective and also reflecting life and our superficial society at the same time, the characters are so relatable and believable. Moreover, the play very subtly mocks the so-called social standards where there is no place for slow learners and innocent people.

Sarwar is playing his cards very smartly, he is trying his best to prove Abdullah that Mahajabeen is not worthy to be his wife and he is almost successful in it. On the other side, Vashma is trying her best to groom Mahajabeen. She has taken her to the best salon and also teaching her few English words. Well, Sarwar is trying his best to sabotage Abdullah and Mahajabeen’s relationship.

Well it seems so inappropriate when Sarwar offers to take Mahajabeen out for shopping. Abdullah’s mother should never allow this, it looks very inappropriate of him to offer and telling Abdullah to stay home but no one noticed. Even Poor Mahajabeen is feeling bad that Abdullah is not taking her out. She is too innocent to judge Sarwar’s dark and ugly intentions. Coincidentally Mahajabeen’s parents come to meet her and they get extremely worried when they were told that Sarwar has taken her out for shopping.

Sarwar tries to flirt with her, he is praising her beauty saying that she is the most beautiful girl in the world on which innocent Mahajabeen says that no she is nothing like Khala Jaan she is so beautiful and the irony is that even Sarwar gets speechless by her innocence. He then tries to tell her that Abdullah is not good for her but she does not seem convinced when Sarwar offers her friendship she even reminds him that it is he who wants to throw her out of the house. Mahajabeen is portrayed as a fearless girl who takes the bull by the horns, not like Abdullah who is afraid to confront. The scene where they both are discussing their failures and how they are looked down by others is such a cute yet heart touching scene.

One of the best scenes of the play is when Phupho is busy trying to convince Abdullah, she is telling him that she has to take Mahajabeen along with him to Shanzay’s house and she has very cleverly convinced him by saying that when husband bears wife’s silly talks they actually look very attractive and appealing to the girls. Mahajabeen is once again dolled by Vashma and then Vashma makes sure that this time Abdullah takes her with him in the car. Shanzay, on the other hand, is marrying some ridiculous absolute snob who does not even respect her choice of dress and wedding theme.
