Romeo Weds Heer- Episode 16 Review

Penned by Dr. Muhammad Younis Butt and brought to us by the exceptional duo Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, this light-hearted rom-com has definitely made our Sundays even better. After a long time, a romantic comedy serial has stolen the 8 pm drama slot and we are all smiles!

Featuring the Khaani famed duo Feroz Khan and Sana Javed, Romeo Weds Heer is an unusual tale of how rivalry and hatred turn into love and happily ever after. Being in the lead role, the duo has stolen the show with their outstanding on-screen chemistry.

Although it is a usual love story but the depiction and execution of the plot are quite unusual and exceptionally hilarious. With every dialogue, we cannot help bursting out in laughter. Our favorite character from the serial is Nazar (Shafaat Ali), who is Hakeem Luqman´s (Firdous Jamal) elder damaad and diligently fulfills the responsibility of being a pain to his in-laws. His attitude, dialogue delivery, expressions, and body language is spot on, especially when he claims, “After all mein damaad hun.”

The drama is already 16 weeks old, yet every episode brings exciting twists into the plot. By now, Romeo and Heer have gotten engaged although both their families were against their decision. While both lovebirds celebrate their bond, Romeo´s phupo Roli Aunty and his friend Faryal are deeply grieved on the news. Meanwhile, Shanzay´s father, the health secretary is also enraged on this decision, as he wanted to get his daughter married to Romeo.

What will be the fate of Romeo? Will his parents go against his will and call off his engagement with Heer? How will Romeo and Heer reciprocate? Let us know what you think will happen next.
