Romeo Weds Heer – Episode 18 Review

In recent times, Pakistani TV channels have given some quality dramas to their viewers. We have seen these dramas tackle serious and important topics which were considered a taboo in the past. This wave of change is appreciated by the viewers as well. However, sometimes these dramas leave you gloomy and you find yourself wanting to watch something light-hearted. Among the serious content, Romeo Weds Heer feels like a breath of fresh air. Although it’s an entertaining comedy, the great acting and brilliant script makes it special.

This week’s episode was a crucial one in the journey of Romeo and Heer. Last week, their parents’ first meeting turned sour and made things difficult for Romeo and Heer. However, they are not giving up on their love. So, they came up with a solution with the help of Soni Baji. Romeo’s parents send gifts for Heer’s family which has made Nazar Bhai extremely happy. Heer makes sure to let him know that he has been given the best gifts because “after all, who damaad hain”. However, there is a twist to it. Shafaat Ali is a very gifted actor and is playing excellent as Nazar.

On the other hand, Romeo convinces his father to support him in Heer’s matter. They both visit Heer’s parents and in a twisted turn of events, fix their wedding date. When Heer’s parents ask about Romeo’s mother, Romeo lies that she is not well. Upon hearing this, Heer’s family decides to visit her. The whole situation becomes complicated and hilarious. All the actors have played their characters with such grace that they come to life. Dialogue delivery and comic timing are spot-on. Rarely we see comedy dramas which are well written and well-acted. Rome Weds Heer is one such example. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for these two.
