Tere Bin Episode-39 and 40 Review: Meerub disappoints the audience by betraying Murtasim

Tere Bin, a 7th Sky Entertainment production mega hit serial is 40 episodes down. At points, the story seems to be unnecessarily dragged but the good thing is that fans are still very much invested in the story. Although we are thoroughly enjoying Yumna Zaidi and Wahaj Ali’s electrifying chemistry. In the previous episodes, we were wondering will Meerub save her marriage or will help Maryam to elope with Anas. In this episode, Meerub disappoints the audience by betraying Murtasim, despite his refusal she helps Maryam in eloping with Malik Zubair who is cheating on her as Anas.

One of the highlights of this episode 39, is the heart-to-heart conversation between Murstasim and Meerub where Murtasim opens up with her hat what he had sacrificed for his family. We were expecting that he will be going to tell her about his first love some ex-flame but no he has left his passion for becoming an international wildlife photographer! This sounds funny but then we see him being vulnerable in front of her, tears rolling from both sides but all in vain because Meerub is least affected by this, she is resolute that she will fulfil her stupid promise.

In episode 39 we have seen Meerub dodging Murtasim in a mall and going alone to meet Anas. Malik Zubair has arranged once again his fake mother but her accent and her mannerism clearly depicts that she is not a decent woman still Meerub is stupid enough not to see that. Maryam and Meerub are such dimwits that they cannot see the evilness written all over Malik Zubair still they trust a stranger in the name of love.

I must say that I am so done with the character of Meerub, hating her to the core. Murtasim actually deserves a much better girl than her. Meerub after seeing the vulnerable side of Murtasim and after his confession of love and plea to fix their relationship, chooses to betray him by actually helping out his sister to elope with a guy she barely knows and whom Murtasim has rejected.

Haya sees Meerub helping Maryam in her elopement but she starts filming it instead of stopping them. Haya in my point of view is equally responsible she cannot be absolved either nor Meerub for the huge blunder she has committed! Meerub’s world turns upside down when she realized that Anas is actually Malik Zubair who had abducted her. Naive Maryam is shocked when she knows that Anas is actually her family rival Malik Zubair and he has no intentions of marrying her. She is totally at his mercy, he can even rape her! God what Meerub has done to poor Maryam and Murtasim’s family!
