Tere Bin Episode-7 and 8 Review: Its all about Meerub and Murtasim’s wedding shenanigans

It seems Meerub is on her revenge game

7th Sky Entertainment’s production drama serial Tere Bin is turning out to be a brainless entertainer. Though Tere Bin is highly entertaining, the story at places makes no sense at all. It is Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi’s crackling chemistry which carries the whole show. In the previous episodes, it seems like Murtasim’s heart has melted for Meerub. In this latest set of episodes, it is shown that Meerub agrees to marry Murtasim while he has some reservations but we know that it’s Meerub’s revenge plan.

The story makes no sense in a few places, for instance, the whole shrine and the saint scenes were totally unnecessary and it has no effect on the story as a whole. Meerub gets no spiritual awakening from that experience instead she has become malicious she is thinking to teach the whole household a lesson by marrying Murtasim. She is disgracing such a holy bond of marriage!

On the other hand, we have seen Murtasim having soft feelings for Meerub and also seen that he has been praying for her in the shrine but when Meerub says she is ready to marry Murtasim he starts having reservations about her. Murtasim is a solid guy I wish he had not slapped her in the previous episode. That slap scene was so unnecessary why they have made such a solid hero a toxic one? Why normalizing slaps and violence on women on screen?

The 8th episode is all about Meerub and Murtasim’s wedding shenanigans. Before that the scene where Muratasim comes and asks Meerub if she still hates him, is a strong scene. She fakes it by saying that she wants shelter and her feelings have changed for her when in reality she is setting on her revenge game. Murtasim going to Meerub’s foster parents speaks volumes about his character. However, Murtasim has been nice to her lately he even takes her to her foster parent’s house then why she is punishing him as well?

The wedding festivities scenes are so boring. Haya is the most annoying character she is a toxic female obsessive lover who is harassing Muratasim and despite his refusal to her all the time, she is continuously falling for him. That Haya dance sequence is it for real? Who dances like that in Pakistan at a Mehndi function? it was so badly executed. Haya and Meerub’s vile conversation is so annoying and toxic why do we need to show such toxicity on screen?
