Tere Bin Episode-47 and 48 Review: Nice cover up by the makers following the backlash

Unfortunately, the serial has lost its impact!

Tere Bin the 7th Sky Entertainment production despite being a massive hit and top trending in almost all South Asian countries where Urdu is spoken and understood, turned out to be absolute trash keeping local standards and norms in view. Performances have been flawless but it is Yumna Zaidi who nailed her character in episodes 47 and 48. I wish Yumna Zaidi and Wahaaj would have taken a solid stand and should not agree to this. In the previous episode, we have seen Meerub and Murtasim both falling from grace. In these episodes, the makers have re-edited episode 47 which seems nothing but a failed attempt of covering up the mess which has already been created.

Episode 47 starts with a scene of Meerub all shattered and torn, trauma is what is written all over her. It is very much evident from her shattered looks that she has been victimized by marital rape but no the recorded and re-edited monologue running in the background suggests that it was not a marital rape but it was consensual. If it was consensual then why Meerub is reacting like she has been traumatized, she is crying over a stupid piece of the contract she herself has stopped valuing.

It is a nice but failed cover-up by the makers of the play. Murtasim side is also reedited by providing a voice-over which is suggesting that he has not raped her but it was consensual? angry sex? If it was consensual then Murtasim should be the happiest person then why he is reacting so strongly and violently? After crying a river he smashed his hand with a mirror and God we can see his red blood coming!

The scene we have seen in the promo where Haya is urging Meerub to go has been deleted in episode 47 and it is shown that Meerub in episode 48 in the middle of the night walks out of the house leaving Murtasim. If it was consensual sex then why she is leaving him? The makers have lost the plot. Unfortunately, the serial has lost its impact, and the beautiful romance between Meerub and Murtasim seems to be ruined forever.

Meerub sits on a bus and there enters a new character Asim Mehmood as a conductor. She has no money to buy the ticket so she gives her chain and locket to him and he shamelessly accepts it. Not an impressive entry! Haya still has the guts to talk frankly with Murtasim after what she has done with him! It is the place where the story loses its impact why Murtasim is not penalizing Haya? Why Nouraz has not named and shamed Haya for lying with him about Maryam? Why Haya gets away all the time? Already disappointed with where the story going. Wondering where Meerub will go?
