Hum Tv drama serial Wabaal is down with 15 episodes. The didactic tone of drama serial carries important messaging but overall it feels like something is lacking in the story and characters and the way they are crafted. Performances are good but at a place lacking Sachal’s. In the previous episode, we have seen that Anum’s dream of having a car finally gets materialized. This episode ends by showing Anum’s car met with an accident.
Shagufta offers Anum to give her gold bangles if she will fix Maham and Naveed’s proposal how stupid it sounds. Firstly I fail to understand the logic behind Shagufta wanting to make Maham her daughter-in-law, she always wants to marry off his son to wealthy people. Maham’s family is poor then why she is so persistent to make her Naveed’s bride? For that, she is ready to bribe Anum.
Anum is so stupid, she clearly knows that there will be no chance of Maham and Naveed’s engagement as her father literally hates Shaghufta. Still out of greed Anum tries to convince Maham to marry Naveed. Maham is disgusted to hear this suggestion, she shows her disapproval and tells her that she wants to marry Hammad. She further tells her that soon his brother and sister-in-law are bringing her proposal.
Anum is disappointed that she cannot materialize Shaghufta Tayee’s dream. Moreover, she is getting envious of Maham. Maham gets a college lecturer job with a Rs 50k Salary package. Hammad’s brother and his bhabi come with his proposal and they appear to be quite decent people. Despite Maham’s weird and strict condition they along with Hammad agrees on it. Anum is getting jealous as Maham’s in-laws have given her good stuff and she has given 5 Lacs Haq Mahar on her Nikkah. Anum is comparing herself with Maham and she also starts comparing Hammad with Faraz.
Well my knowledge I have never heard about any marriage ritual where the bridegroom’s family gives gold sets to the bride’s sister. Where does it happen? It is usually the other way around it is the bride’s family who gifts gold bangles or sets to the bridegroom’s family women. Anum tells Faraz that she is so happy that Maham’s in-laws have gifted her a gold set which makes no sense. It looks so odd that Anum is driving the car wearing the same Maham’s wedding attire and Faraz is teaching her driving. They are driving in some park in the middle of the night when the car hits hard with a rock! Hopefully, no one will be critically injured in this case but the car will surely get damaged and it will add to Faraz’s financial burden as it is already on a bank loan.
